The strut tower bar is arguable one of the least expensive
upgrades that can provide a very high degree of benefit that
is felt immediately after installing. |
The strut tower brace improves handling and stability of a vehicle.
By connecting the strut towers, and creating a balance, the shocks
are prevented from independently moving and causing small changes
in suspension geometry. While simple in appearance, the Tanabe design
of the bar's centershaft has a significant amount of engineering
built in. The construction is reinforced extruded aluminum, which
features dual reinforced lips on the underside, as well as tapered
ends for additional rigidity. The hollow centershaft is very lightweight,
so weight is not added to reinforce the chassis.

features: Adjustable Preload
It is always recommended to raise the vehicle when installing so that
the load of the shock uppermounts on the shock towers is relieved and
balanced out. When raised, and the tower bar is placed onto the vehicle,
the preload can be adjusted and set. After it is bolted on and the car
is lowered, each shock tower will have equal load and will prevent independent
movements of each shock. This will provide an extremely noticeable difference
after installing. If a tower bar is installed on a car that is not raised,
these great benefits will be missed.
Top Quality and Finish
You can't really see it in these pics, but these bars are GREAT LOOKING
in person. The anodized finish is great and the end plates are 100% steel
for maximum strength and durability. Beware of cheap imitations, which
are highly subject to deformity and breaking. Tanabe's 100% steel end
plates are engineered for durability, so that the stress properly transfers
to the bar, and does not overstress the welds and mounting brackets.

the SSBOV is made of billet aluminum & lets out a great
whistling sound when it relieves pressure. The HKS Super Sequential

serious power on boost or nitrous. If you notice your plugs
have a yellowish tinge to them, you may be using a plug that
is too hot which can lead to engine failure if prolonged.

the factory spark plugs. If you want maximum ignition energy

HKS high performance camshafts are CAD computer designed
to optimize torque and horsepower over the widest possible
powerband. Each camshaft application is offered in multiple
profiles, each with their own specific duration and lift characteristics
to suit various levels of tuning. Lower 264 profiles offer
substantial gains in power levels and a broad useable powerband
throughout the RPM range with little compromised in driveability.

Larger 272 profiles offer greater increases in power levels, but
are tailored for higher RPM range use and race oriented driving
characteristics. Increased performance from the HKS camshafts are
achieved by widening the degree of opening of the valve, which increases
power in the higher RPM range, and by increasing lift, which raises
overall torque output.
All HKS camshafts are made from new billets of high nickel content
iron alloy, not reground stock units, therefore equaling or exceeding
the OE units they are designed to replace in terms of quality and
workmanship. The camshafts are direct replacements and are designed
to be compatible with the factory followers and valve springs. HKS
also offers high performance valve spring sets for limited applications
that can benefit from stiffer springs when using “Larger”
profile HKS camshafts.
