Quick rotor tech about our zinc protective coating...

In addition to our unique slot and dimple drilled design, all of our TurboImport.com high performance stock replacement rotors are zinc coated for protection against the elements.

Why should you care about zinc? Actually, you should be asking yourself, "why are my brand new rotors I just bought already old and rusty looking???"

Most brake rotors do not have any type of protective coating and will end up rusting after your first car wash or rainy day. This goes for both OEM stock rotors and many popular high performance cross drilled slotted rotors. This rust can make your great looking ride look old and crusty. If you have a nice set of "BLING BLING" wheels, the rust will be even more noticeable.

The images below tell the whole story. The center portion of the rotor is the area that most commonly ends up completely covered in rust. However, if you have a vented type of rotor, the inner veins will also develop rust and so will the outer edges of the rotor. We have gone the extra mile to ensure that our customers receive a high quality product. Our TurboImport.com brake rotors are completely silver zinc coated for 100% rust protection both inside and out. This keeps them looking nice and shiny for the entire life of your brake rotors.
